Can't really think of a title...

I was totally bored today so I spent most of the time working on an Irish Hiking Scarf. I don't really have enough yarn to make it scarf length, but this is just a stash buster project. I knit through it pretty fast, mostly because my entire day was spent knitting, because my friend was at Disneyland. Well I guess some people are the lucky ones. I've done about 12 inches, and that's pretty impressive, considering it took me a week to finish the easiest project in the world (a stockinette stitch striped scarf I memorized within the first two days).

My mom had a little bit of free time today (she works from home) so I wanted her to take me to a yarn store about 20 minutes away. She said no so I went to this small craft store. There wasn't that great of a selection of yarn there, but they did have a comfy knitting nook and Cascade stuff. I wanted to get the Cloud 9 I would need for these Ankle Warmers but it was $10 per skein and I needed two, so I didn't have enough money. I ended up getting a Knit Chek and a couple skeins of Sugar and Cream, also for the ankle warmers (the yarn's held double). I wanted to knit it in pale blue, but they didn't really have enough Sugar and Cream in the same dyelot.

I've been dying to make this shrug pattern from Find Your Style and Knit it Too. But this is a library book, and time after time I've renewed it, but something's been holding me back every single time. But I've finally ordered some yarn off of Knitpicks that might work. There's also a ton of stuff in my queue from this book. What do I do to make sure I have the patterns, even if I don't have the book?
