I've been waiting for like a month to start my ballet shrug, but I didn't have the yarn. Today my Knitpicks goodies FINALLY came!!! It was 6 skeins of Comfy Worsted, an interchangeable needle set, and a yarn cutter. Overall, things have been going pretty well.
My gauge was off by half a stitch, which seems to happen every time. Unfortunately it was half a stitch less, because my wrist circumference is only about six inches. I guess I should have bought 7 mm needles to go with the set because maybe I'd get the perfect gauge on those. But maybe an oversized warm-up is just what I need...when I get cold, it's really annoying.
I've been moving along quickly with this pattern, considering I memorized it even before I started. I love how it's really soft and feels like some sort of designer thing, but it's really made of humble yarn from Walmart and Knitpicks. However, what does get annoying is when the cables break. But usually I fix it without dropping stitches, which is good.
We couldn't start filming today, but we will on Wednesday. However, tomorrow I'm sleeping over at Bethany's where I will swim in my tail for the very first time. I can't wait!!!!! I've gotta go now...knitting to catch up on.
